Biotech Juniors Vol.1




On Thursday, the 29th of Oct 2015, the first volume of “Biotech Juniors” conference launched under the slogan “The Aftertime Leaders” by “Bio Team Egypt” which is the first national team that is concerning with Biotechnology awareness through diverse categories of events on the academic or the community level. These efforts to provide the growing categories of biotechnology students with the required tools for more understanding of biotechnology concepts and aspects. “Biotech Juniors” conference lasted for one day and succeed to discuss many important topics and different aspects in the fields of Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and scientific research seeking for encouraging the integration of these concepts to the whole divers mindsets of the conference attendees. Many lecturers and speakers have participated in this volume from different universities and research centers across Egypt such as, Ain Shams university, Cairo University, Masr University for Science and Technology and National Research Center.

This volume of “Biotech Juniors” is considered as the first conference of “Bio Team Egypt” which has integrated successfully the field of Biotechnology with many topics through various groups of lectures. Our lecturers were interested in proving the importance of Biotechnology and scientific researches. There were many collaborations and sponsorships helped our team in organizing this conference as the National Research Center under the direction of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Shaa’lan. Also. We proud that the first event of “Biotech Juniors” Attended by more than 250 researchers, graduate and student from the Arab and Egyptian Biotechnology sector.

“Bio Team Egypt” is honored of the participation of 7 speakers, lecturers, doctors and professors. Ms. Hamies Baher, Graduated from Biotechnology Program Faculty of Science, CU. master’s degree Student at Genetics Division, Faculty of agriculture, ASU. Teaching Assistant at Faculty of Dentistry, BUE. Dr.Ahmed Zain, Researcher at Microbiology Division the National Research Center. Associate Professor of Biochemistry, Faculty of Biotechnology, MUST University. Dr.Hussein Sabit, Associate professor of Genetics, Vice Dean for Community Services, Faculty of Biotechnology, MUST University. Dr.Ahmed Hussein, PhD Plant Pathology and Molecular Diagnosis, Lecturer and Researcher at Microbiology Division, Agricultural Researches Center.

The first conference of “Biotech Juniors” included many important lectures under the following titles: Innovation Within Bioremediation Techniques, Applications of Bioinformatics in Biotechnology, Biotechnology Career Pathways, Biotechnology and Biochemical Discovery Techniques, The New Era of Genome Editing Technology, Biotechnology Changing Gears in Life Sciences,

At that time, team’s founder announced that “Biotech Juniors Vol.3” will be the first event in this category to begin our journey in Biotechnology awareness in Egypt.

Bio Team Egypt
We are Egyptian activists in the field of Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship awareness. Researchers, engineers and undergrad students from divers Egyptian universities and institutions. One target has collected us, is to create an Egyptian scientific community which is specialized into Biotechnology.
